Well, this sucks. Im pretty sure I have a hematoma in my right glute. Its been a really hard lump/nodule for about 2 weeks now. I decided to just stick a needle in it and aspirate. Sure enough got about 3 cc's of blood. Anybody else have experience with this?

      Thanks guys.

Not yet for me (luckily), but I know plenty who have had one. Are you rotating sites? How many sites versus what kind of gear? It could be just a build-up of oil.

Some did, some didn't. Just keep an eye on it (like you're going to forget about it right? ) Check for signs of infection every day. Also pay attention to how you feel. Take your temperature to see if you're staying within the normal range.

Might want to take some Motrin two, twice ed and get an ice pak and put it on the area for a few times ed while watching tv or something. It should reduce and keep the swelling down.

Actually Mick, you shouldnt ice it. Applyiing moist heat would be the best for a hematoma. Just my professional opinion.

Yes if it is one.? Ive just always use ice and massage with Motrin and alway seem to do the trick in a couple days. How big is the bump? and also no pain or discomfort? You must do alot of glute injects. I only do mostly glute, and occasional the arms, never legs.

I changed my mind. lol. Ice and heat in rotation is what would be best for it. I know its a hematoma. I put a needle right into the lump which was about the size of a golf ball and I hadnt shot in that glute for over a week and a half. When I aspirated I drew out a full syringe of blood (3cc's).

I only inject sus into my glutes. The tren I shoot into my delts and glutes in rotation. I have never done my quads (b/c I dont have any). I had alot of pain where it was for a few days then the pain went away and I was left with a golfball lump for 2 weeks.

I think you are on the right path by draining it first. However, I agree with mick on the ice becasue that will slow blood flow. Anytime you have a build up of blood (swelling, brusing) ice is best. Heat will only bring more blood to the area. That's not something you want to do until you know it's totally drained. A golf ball is much larger than 3 cc's, get that thing down to nothing and then ice the hell out of it. Then, from now on, I'd hit your quads and delts and skip glutes for a while. I hit my quads for most shots because the vastus lateralus (sp) is so damn big you can hit 50 places before you hit the same one again. I usually rotate biceps with 1 cc every week and then the rest in the quad. I also hit my delts too. I haven't hit glutes in years. Too much of a pain. I like to sit down, swab, poke, inject, go. None of that standing on one leg stuff trying to reach around a hold a dart steedy while you wait for it to go in.

Thats why I changed my mind to ice and heat in rotation. Ice to slow anything blood that may still be entering the area, however, its now no longer acute. Thats why I suggest ice and then heat for pain and increased circulation, considering the blood vessel that I damaged has most likely healed.

Why are you affraid to shot quads? I think they are the easiest, IMO. What's your fear bro? The one I'm affraid of, and I don't have any reason for, is pecs. I don't know why, but I just don't want to hit them.
