I'm pissed!

TweetAs some of you know I play in this flag football tourny every year and we ran through our division like nothing (4-0). Then we crushed the Wildcard team and then in the semi-finals, out of 36 teams, our QB decides he's going to become mr. arrogant jackass. He tries to force three passes that get picked, however he had all damn day to throw becaue we were stuffing their D-line. He refused to throw to one guy who was open on almost every play because he was pissed at him. Then HE decides to go for it on two 4th down plays and again makes piss poor passes and we lose the game 12 to 6. I'm sooooooooooooooooo damn pissed right now. We had this team stuffed. The only time they scored was after interceptions, that's it! When they had the ball we made them punt about 5 times. What the hell is it with people? Why can some people keep their cool at all times and some people choke like hell under pressure? This guy single handedly blew the entire game and acted like it was not his fault. Ok, I'm done venting. LOL

TweetYeah, I spoke with him today and we hashed out everything. It basically came down to him losing his focus and getting frazled. I guess it was the pressure of being in the semi's that got him. I told him next time, give me the damn ball and you block. I can hit just about anything within 30 yards. He said everyone was pissed at him but no one stepped up to take over. Apparently he spoke to another guy about taking over and that guy said no. So, he just went through the motions. So, we'll just have to see what happens next year.

TweetYeah, that's why I waited to cool down before I spoke with him. I didn't want to add insult to injury. We did make it further than last year so, that's better. But I seriously doubt that this team won it out because they really weren't that good. Take away the three picks and they probably would not have scored at all. But, what can you do? Regroup and plan on next year. The toughest game we had was playing a team we scrimaged against for 6 weeks before the tourny. We both knew each other so well that it was 0-0 and went to OT. We out gained them by 1 yard to win, that's it. It was a freakin battle. It's like college OT, you start at the 20 and who ever advances the ball the furthest in 4 plays is the winner.
