TweetHow about you see a doctor?i guess i'm going to have to go light on chest and delt days, so i can forget about my shoulder girdle growing for a while. this sucks man!
Tweetwell, just when i was starting to make some progress.
my right shoulder has been bothering me slightly, but nothing that really impacted my training at all. i think i slept on it wrong or something; i don't know really.
anyways last night i was training chest- we started out with dumbells on a slight incline. my shoulder felt kind of sore, but i had complete range of motion and didn't feel too weak with it. we did two sets with the 50s first of 15 reps and stretched to warm up. usually i would do another set of 12 with the 80s to continue warming up, but for some stupid reason i jumped to the 100s. i got through about 6 reps and something just didn't feel right at all so i stopped, and finished my sets with a lower weight.
my shoulder felt weird, but i had complete range of motion still and was just a little sore. i managed to finish my workout with lighter weights.
i got home and it started to hurt somewhat, so i ate a couple of loratabs and went to bed.
today it hurts a little, although i still have complete range of motion. it's like a minor throbbing pain with brief stabs here and there; totally managable though. i took some ibuprofen this morning and the pain went away completely. they have now worn off and it hurts a little.
there's a good bit of crunch when i rotate my shoulder. if i stick my arm straight out to my side and point my fingers to the ceiling, rotating my arm is a little painful and it crunches the whole way. but, like i said, i still have complte motion and can carry on pretty well without pain in normal daily activites.
i guess i'm going to have to go light on chest and delt days, so i can forget about my shoulder girdle growing for a while. this sucks man!

Aerobics: a series of strenuous exercises which help convert fats, sugars, and starch into aches, pains and cramps! (that's why I don't do 'em LOL)
Tweetwhy? so i can pay $10 bucks to hear: "ummm... yeah... you probably just pulled something... yeah... just rest it and take some ibuprofen for the pain if necessary... yeeeeeaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh."Originally Posted by Lily

nah seriously if i couldn't move it, or if i was in extreme pain i would probably go see an MD or specialist, but it probably is a pulled tendon of some sort. it just sucks that i will have to go light for a little while; i'm in the middle of a good growth phase right now and i'd like to take advantage of it.
honestly both of my shoulders need to be scoped at some point. i have lots of bone spurs in each from years of abuse.
