TweetNow thats what im talking about. While my bro's are sitting in their air conditioned world playing x-box and doing BH's, I pack my 4600ci Jansport full of enough gear for five or seven days. This includes my bivy sack, 3.5lb winter bag, three layers of clothes, 4lb mountaineering boots, 1qt fuel bottle, chow, crampons, 60m static rope, ice screws and pickets,..and other stuff to keep me safe and comfortable. Then its off to the Cascades for some bittersweet suffering. The longer I stay the lighter my rucksack becomes right ? Im using the fuel to boil water, im eating my chow and so fourth. Plus ya get used to humping the gear and the thin air after awhile. By the time I descend im feeling like a bad mother ! It makes me harder,..body, mind and attitude.
