I told him about my ab injury and had him check it out. For those of you who don't know or forgot, I hurt my back and lower abdomen deadlifting about 2 months ago. I've been out of comission since . . . . Good news is that he thinks it was just a "strain" - or a minor tear in the abdominal wall. No hernia - and no surgery!

I still feel discomfort in that spot at times, but no pain. I started walking (that's all I could do without aggrivating it) about a week ago, and my doc says I can progress as I feel able. I can't wait to lift again, but I am not going to risk a reinjury.

Question: Do you guys think that a short minicycle would help much in speeding up my recovery? I am thinking 75mg Prop EOD for 4-6 weeks. So whaddaya think?

I thought maintaining an anabolic state might speed the healing process . . . ?

Maintaining an anabolic state would lead to your body trying to do more weight than the basic tendons and ligaments can handle right now.

more than likely you would feel like you can handle anything, but it would lead to an injury in the same area.

I can see what u are saying...it does make sense and it doesnt....hmmm i dont think it would cause it too heal so much quicker(if at all) that it would be worth it, u would def need to use something fast acting if u did do this. I personally would stay off and rest it some more before doing any workouts then gradually ease back into it and save the sauce for when you are ready. Listening to your body is the best way to go, dont wanna messed up core that could really leave you out for a long time if not forever. LOL not to shit on your parade test.

i wouldnt run test either it might make u lift harder then u should be. but i understand that u have been out for 2 months and u want to be back on. i would make a 100% recovery while using regular supplements. once your back to normal hit the gear.

Well I have not touched a weight in 2 months, and I probably won't for at least another month. At this point I am only doing some light cardio, and working my way toward more intense cardio. That's the plan for this next 4 weeks - believe me, I am not eager to aggrivate this either, so I am taking it slow. My question was posed in the context of this scenario.

Thanks for all your responses. I can always count on solid advice here.
