      I have lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow) and its flaring up. It sucks so bad. Have to wear a forarm brace and I hate it. Anyone else have this problem?

      i dunno if i have that, but sumtimes i get horrible pain, and i just cover it with icy hot, and wrap sarane(sp) wrap around it.

      I have it and it sucks hella bad! sometimes i cant even grab a dumbell and fuck doing overhead db movements, they will come crashing down on me noggin~!

      A tendon in my right thumb gives me a problem (from keyboard and mouse use) ibuprofen helps. What sucksa is it takes forever to heal. Tendons have poor blood flow. :-(
      Use it as little as possible and 1,600mg a day ibuprofen QID

      can you post an anatomy pic of the area and point out what part is effected? I am just curious...

      i would post pictures but my account is messed up.... If I could get it fixed so I can see pictures I would be more than happy to do that. Basically its the tendon of the triceps (long head) and part of the medial brachialis. Tendons actually will never fully heal either. They form scar tissue which ends up, obviously, much weaker than the original structure.

      I looked on the net and saw some pics and descriptions. I have the same thing right now funny enough. I irritated it last week doing clean and presses. I got out of form a little cleaning the bar (funky wrist extention). I have to lay off any wrist extention movements (dumbell laterals, hammer curls, etc...). Use ice and ibuprofen. A little stretching would probably be good as well.

      i've had it since i was i little kid and it acts up usually by mid softball season. for those who have kids in little league. DON'T EVER LET THEM PITCH CURVE BALLS TILL HIGH SCHOOL. only thing that helps is AIR. aspirin, ice and rest

      IS THAT WHAT THE SHEARING PAIN IN MY ELBOWS IS, IT ALWAYS HAPPENS DURING SKULL CRUSHERS AND MOST MOVEMENTS WHERE MY ARM IS STATIONARY FROM THE ELBOW TO SHOULDER.

      Sound like a classic example. You can test it by holding on to a chair or something heavy (with your palm twoards the floor) and extending your wrist. If it hurts then thats a positive for lateral epicondylitis. Cozen's test is a good orthopedic test as well.

      Deadlifts were a little irritating to it, but I still pulled 500 (no straps). I held it at the top for 10 seconds too.

      The first day I strained it, my fingers were swollen. I thought that was a little strange.
