TweetWasn't sure where to post this one but I just wanted to get some thoughts on this. About 3-4 weeks ago I started noticing that it felt like I had pulled a muscle in my neck. Well somedays it was better some have been worse. I woke up this morning and I have finally pin pointed the area that's hurting because I have a nice size lump near my throat. Its not way over to one side like my tonsels its closer to the center near my esophagus but it is located on the right side. Hurts like holly hell if I apply pressure and its making me feel like my ear is clogged up. I'm going to see a doc first thing in the morning, just didn't know if it could possibly be gear related or anything. I swear I have more problems than anyone I know!

Tweetthat doesn't sound good. i hope it gets better soon.
Tweetkeep us updated. I want to know what it is. Hope you get better soon big guy...
Tweetwho's that FOX in your avitar dirty ?
ohh its probably a sperm clot in your throat.
TweetIt could most likely be a swollen gland and that can hurt like hell. I had that happen many times and it has always been swollen glands. It also might be your thyroid because I believe it is in that area also. Whatever it is, it is good that you are seeing a doctor asap.Originally Posted by DIRTY_SOUTH

TweetOk, on a serious note, it's probably just a swollen lymphnoid. They are right along your esophogus and they can get swoll for weeks on end, and they are very sensitive. I personally don't go to the doc! I take a shit load of vitamin C, echinacea, and golden seal when I feel like I'm getting sick. I usually beat it in about 1 to 2 days depending on how fast I react to it. Because I don't take antibiotics I sometimes get those swollen lymphnoids for a couple weeks while my body fights the infection. Thats what those things do, they fight infection. Instead of letting in travel through your body they will trap it and try to eliminate it. The ones in the neck are usually a precursor to a sinus infection or a possible respitory infection if not caught early enough.
TweetYeah, swollen lymph gland. Mine usually do that right before the flu or something of the sort.
TweetThanks bros, And T-Man you're probably right on then. I have been having sinus problems but as of this morning I can't even hear anything out of my right ear. I'm seeing a doc in a few. Thanks.
TweetI think they have it! It possibly might be the drainage from the lymph node from an upper respratory infection. Does it hurt when you swallow?? You prob need an anti-biotic that is specific to upper respratory and sinus infections. Thats what i take when i have one, as nothing else will relieve it. I would though, gargle with very hot salt water every few hrs and get some lozenges and don't drink anything real cold until you see the doc, or it may be much better to see an allergist, because they treat this kind of thing much more often and know about many more prescriptions for anti-biotics that will work. Ive been there and i know its no fun.
TweetJust got back from the doc. Throat feels fine and theres nothing wrong with it, Seems that I had some fluid built up in my right inner ear and it was causing an infection which made the lymph node swell up in my throat. I got 3 types of meds so it should knock it out soon. Just kinda scared me cause I had this big ass knot in my neck but I haven't been feeling sick at all.
Tweetgood to here bro, nothing to worry about...
Tweeti was hoping that it was a goiter, those things kick ass!
TweetThank god it wasn't a sperm clot like Lxorl suggested! LOL
Glad you're okay brother!!!
