brother i had L5 fused to the secrum. get used to hurting. there isnt really anything you can do to get rid of the pain. you can lessen it though. first, strengthen your lower back and abs, yes abs. the stronger your back and abs are the better core stabilization you will have and the less stress on your vert. glucosamin chondroitin at 4 grams ed has provided some help. the biggest thing for me is celebrex. my doc put me on it and the combination of it and all above has provided me with a fairly pain free life.

TweetSINCE THE SURGERY MY SCIATIC HAS CHILLED OUT IT USE TO GO ALL THE WAY DOWN TO MY CALF, NOW MOST OF THE PAIN IS AT WAIST LINE AND SIDE. Tweetlike pig said i would stretch or do yoga. my coach made me do yoga after he thought i was loosing flexibilty. im in a lcass with all old people and they used to have back pains and tons of problems and they all say the class is the best thing for them. I also have had to surgeries and my joints feel much better do to beimg more limber.

TweetHit your abs like jipped said and try some rev. hypers, a friend of mine had lower back surgery a while back and by doing sled pulls (light at first), ab work and rev. hypers he pulled 600 5 months later @ 220.
