  • High Protein Breakfast

1 pack Quaker instant bacon flavored grits 21g Carbs, 3g Protein, .5g Fat, 100 Calories

2 cups Egg Beaters Liquid Egg Whites (equals 8 eggs) 8g Carbs, 48g Protein, 0 fat, 240 Calories

1/4 Cup Velveeta Shredded Cheese 3g Carbs, 5g Protein, 6g Fat, 90 Calories

2 Cups Fat Free Milk 26g Carbs, 16g Protein, 0 Fat, 180 Calories

    Total Carbs 58 grams
    Total Protein 72 grams
    Total Fat 6.5grams
    Total Cals. 610

Takes approximately 5mins to cook. Just place the grits in microwave for 1 minute and start scrambling your eggs. Once the grits are done sprinkle cheese in grits and then add eggs when ready. I normally drink 2 cups of milk with my meal for added protein but you could sub juice or whatever. Great tasting breakfast to pack on a ton of protein at once. Plus liquid egg whites is one of the bodies most readily absorbable forms of protein. Have fun eating and GET BIG!

I like the recipe, but don't like the sodium content.

Well I do know the Quake stuff with bits is a bit high in sodium, at least for me. I like to keep my sodium intake really low.

Not worried about a little sodium while bulking, but I try not to ever add salt to any of my food except while cooking but in this case I don't even add any while cooking. That meal should be somewhere around the 500mgs mark. Sometimes you have to the bad with the good unless you are trying to compete.

Usually it's salt, cracked black and a pat of sweetcream. Never thought of puttin the eggs in with my grits. I'll give this one a try today with pepper jack.
