I THOUGHT QUITING DRINKING WOULD BE A SATISFYING EXPERIANCE BUT IT HAS REALLY MADE MY LIFE RATHER BORING. I QUIT ON NEW YEARS EAVE ALMOST 3 YEARS AGO. WHAT A NIGHT THAT WAS . WHEN ALL MY FRIENDS FINALLY FIGURED OUT THAT I WASN'T BS'IN AND I REALLY DID KICK IT, IT WAS LIKE THEY ALL QUIT CALLING ME TO HANG OUT IT'S LIKE BECAUSE YOU DON'T DRINK YOU CAN'T GO OUT. FRIGGIN BS. I DIDN'T MIND NOT GOING OUT FOR AWHILE THOUGH SAVED ALOT OF MONEY, BOUGHT A NEW CAR... WHATEVER I JUST HUNG OUT AND CHILLED MOST OF THE TIME AND WEEKENDS WHERE LAID BACK GOT PLENTY OF REST. I OFFERED ALL THE TIME FOR MY BRO'S TO CALL IF THEY WERE TO DRUNK TO DRIVE BUT OVER A THREE YEAR PERIOD NEVER NOT ONE CALL, WELL PHUCK IT I GUESS RIGHT? IT'S NOT A BAD IDEA TO STAY AWAY FROM THE BARS IN MY AREA ANY WAY NOTHING BUT PHUCKING HICKS AND 80's MUSIC, WHHOOAA SLOW IT DOWN MAN. I DON'T KNOW WERE I'M GOING W/ THIS OR EVEN EXPECT A RESPONSE JUST WANTED TO ***** A LITTLE. IT'S FRIDAY NIGHT 10:39 AND I'M SITTING HERE . IT'S LIKE A ONE SIDED ROAD OR SOMETHING. I ACTUALLY HAVE A BAR ON ONE SIDE OF MY STREET AND A GYM ON THE OTHER. IN A WEIRD SENSE OF FATE IT'S LIKE CHOOSE ONE, THIS SIDE OF THE TRACKS OR THE OTHER. THIS DECISION IS OBVIOUSLY NOT A HARD ONE BECAUSE I'M IN THE BEST CONDITION OF MY LIFE AND LOVING IT. NOW THAT THE WINTER IS UPON US I HAVE TO STORE MY CAR AWAY FROM THE SNOW WHICH REALLY SUCKS O WELL PHUG IT. I THINK I'M GOING TO MOVE INTO THE GYM ALL WINTER AND GROW A MOUNTAIN MAN BEARD. I WORK 1 BLOCK FROM MY HOUSE THE GYM IS 1 BLOCK AWAY IN THE OTHER DIRECTION. WELL I'VE COMPLAINED ENOUGH HAVE A GOOD ONE. I DON'T THINK I WILL EVER DRINK ALCOHOL AGAIN.

I wish I had your conviction bro.

To be honest, I've never really had a problem with alcohol. I rarely find myself over-consumeing. Which probably makes it harder for me to find good enough reason to quit.
RIP BigJim33 & GearedUp: You are sorely missed my friends.

Good call, bro. I haven't had a drink in 2 years... or any other thing. My life was out of control. My decision was about life and death. I wish I had quit earlier... before I lost everything. But, my life is soooooooo much easier now... and peaceful.

Do not fear death.... fear the inadequate life that proceeds it..

I use to drink heavily in my early 20's....during college. Oh gosh...it was so hard to study, concentrate, or even get to class with a hangover. Now that I'm older and look back.....I wonder why I even did it. I probably could of made better grades and been more productive and gosh...think of the money I drank away.

TRAM...no harm in *****ing. Congrats on making the right choice everyday by going to the gym and being healthier. ....But dont let the beard grow too much....ICK.....j/k.

      Congrats to you too Jester

I'm with you. If I have a 6 pack in a month I am really partying.

I drank heavy in highschool 11th and 12 grade. Now in college, I have actually stopped. It's kinda weird. Most people start drinking in college. I only drink once or twice a months now.

You can still go to the bar and drink water, hit on the babes, dance like a fool and sing karaoke and hang out with your so called friends. Water is cheap and good for you. You don't have to drink to have fun. Good luck and have fun.
