      a) in some way yes, interacting with carbs.

      c) a lot better and more effective. and less mgs are needed.

Thanks BigJim and Manny, some nice links too M78. There's things about ALA that I just can't seem to understand. My winny cycle is coming up in a week or two and I need a sure fire thing so I don't lose my liver. Also I wanted to double check on the other added benefits that ALA has.

      Using R-ALA you'll only need 300 mg ED if under 40 yr old, between 40 and 50 it's 400 mg I think.

ALA helps me to stay in ketosis when dieting, even when
eating a decent amount of carbs.

Actually, ALA will give a false reading. I believe its related to the sulfer oxidation...or something like that. Macro knows.

I only will use rALA. Its much, much better than ALA. Night and day actually. For one, no heartburn. Second, it doesnt cause the large spikes in insulin that regular ALA will cause (from the S-ALA). Smoother levels of insulin are more optimal than spikes for dieting. The acception of when ALA may be better, would be PW with your shake.

I also get mine for them AF store.

As far as liver protection goes ... there is no study anywhere that could conclusively show r-ALA is better than original ALA for this purpose.

ALA is just as good as r-ALA for liver protection. Only difference ... you'll pay about five times less if you get it from www.anabolical.com

Remember ... don't believe EVERYTHING someone says when they are trying to sell you something.

Liver specialists are moving from ALA to R-ALA. There's even a IV version in the patent process. Must be for some reason I guess....

I havent tried the new ala but have gotten great results with the original stuff!

I think some stuff gets hyped to much and alot of imes even I have been duped into buying something because a mod hypes it! There were alot of things that dont or hasnt done shit for me and it was supposed to be a miracle BB accessory! Not saying anyhting just that to much stuff gets to pushed out to fast and there are alot of products out I think most os us never need but almost all of us has to buy and try it!

That is one thing I am trying to keep thjois board from being... one big advertisement for someone that is a mod or pays to advertise! I have even told a few really respected people to not advertise so much in there posts and I have tried to not do it as much either because I know I have been guilty of it in the past!

i believe ulter or macro said that a dose of 1000mg of regular ala is equivilent to 300-400mg of r-ala
