hey guys/girls, i'm pretty sure i've read something about this before, but i was just wanted your opinions. i'm about to do the CKD thing, and i was wondering if i kept my carb intake to about 30-40g a day (usually in the morning, love me some oatmeal) and took r-ala before ANY carbs, would that put me into ketosis? or should i just save the r-ala and not eat any carbs? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks y'all

You can get Keto-sticks at most drug stores that will tell you whether or not your body is in ketosis, Most of them are pretty cheap too its like twenty bucs i think.

I would either have 20 carbs AM and 20 carbs post-workout OR all the carbs post workout with 200mg r-ALA.
I don't think the r-ALA with 40 carbs all at once would prevent you from being kicked out of ketosis.

Don't put to much faith in the ketositx. They only detect excess ketones. If you are in ketosis and you body is burning them all then none will show up in your urine.

That said, I have my own pack, but I don't revolve my diet around what they say.

i can't find the post, but over at elite the diet guru MR.X (before he left) suggested that you do not use ala or r-ala (i can't remmeber the reason, but he knows his shit),

and if memory serves me correct he says you CAN use tem (ala or r-ala) the weekends when you carb up, but you really don't have to (ill look for the post but elites search is so freakin slow)

      cheers

      forget what i said,

use the r-ala if you think your carbs are gonna spill over, but you won't need it on the days you eat under 30

      use it on weekends
