TweetYeah, drop D on a six and Drop A on a seven. I have my seven tuned down all a half step, and in drop A (A flat actually).

How to do it...tune down the low E string (the fat one on top) until it "matches" the third from the top (D string). Now you are in drop D. Now you are ready for many songs from Tool, Black Label Society, Pantera.......

On some tracks by Zakk Wylde, he tunes to drop A on his Les Paul. It is tuned A(3 1/2 steps below low E), A, D, G, B, E. He is a freak!

I play it drop d and it sounds alittle shallow but close......hard to get the FX pedal to match tool's sound.

They may be tuned down a half step all across. This would put you at d flat, a flat,....etc.
