TweetI suppose I should introduce myself
I'm just getting back into serious training after being burnt out on it for a long time.
I've been training (seriously too) since I was 13 and competed from '83-86. I did 5 shows and never placed worse than 3rd.
1983 Teen Mr Atlanta 1st
1983 Teen Mr Georgia 2nd
1984 Teen Mr Atlanta 1st
1984 Teen Mr Georgia 3rd
1986 Novice Georgia 3rd Lightheavyweight
I burnt out BAD in 92 and stopped training, cringed even driving by a gym. I raced bicycles on the road and track 93-98 and only lifted in the winter or every blue moon.
I just discovered BB forums this month and seeing all you beautiful folks has given me a goal. I want to be in as good a shape at 40 (10/17/2004) as I was at 20.
Should be interesting to see how close I can get. Here are my last contest pics.

At this show I weighed in at 179 for prejudging (how stupid was that?) and was up to 184 or 186 for the night show. My offseason weight was 211 at 5'8".
I'm now 38, 235 (with the diff being all fat) and training to get back to 200-205lbs. I have no desire to compete again but I want to be as muscular as I can get staying under 200 lbs.

Tweetnice pics, i've seen them on elite! i'm sure you'll meet your goal and get back where you want to be. the body has an amazing ability of recovering from abuse, lol. be sure and take some pics now that you are starting, i'm sure you'll have some amazing transition photos.
Nobody can be just like me, sometimes even I have trouble doing it.
TweetGreat job on the circuit in the early 80's...glad to have your knowledge over here. I'd love to hear some old school training stories you've got.

Or having to do 1,000 reps of abs before every workout because your crapass college town gym didn't have a SINGLE piece of cardio equipemnt?
And another thing, it was uphill both ways to the gym and back.
