With the use of many AS, BP will go up. Now, correct me, but isn't this phenomenon due the increase of red blood cells in the bloodstream?

If that is true, then it must also be true that you can alleviate high BP by taking a medication that lowers the red blood cell count.

Of course, there are many different types of BP medications: beta blockers, you name it. Which one is the right one to use?

IMO, most BP caused while on cycle is related to edema aka water retention. More reason to take your anti-e's.

Dont go jumping on the BP medication. Find out the source first. IT can be very dangerous to jump on the BP meds and then come off cycle, you may lower it too much, which should be obviously bad.

I once had a raise that was due to a very high RBC count from an extensive run with EQ and VitB-12. I dontated a pint of blood and it took care of it. I think that it is very rare though. The main side I experienced was too much sweating, not the BP really.

There a several factors that can cause an increase in bp, RBC count being one of them.

I personally don't think you want to start screwing around with prescription drugs like Ace Inhibitors & Beta Blockers unless you are under the care of a MD.

So, I take it that tmxfn @10mg ed may be of some help, if BP is getting too high.....

StoneCold is correct. (So is bigjim33 obviously). Other factors could be triggered pre-existing high BP, hypertension, stress, cholesterol, etc...

Dont mess around with BP meds..bottom line.

Correct. I would also stack that with an herbal diuretic such as Dandilion root and monitor BP until it returns to normal.

What do you consider as too high ??

I have seen a few posts where there is some confusion or misunderstanding of what blood pressure numbers mean. I found this little explanation, hope this clears things up.

      What Do Those Numbers Mean?
Your doctor tells you your blood pressure is 120 over 70 (written as 120/70). Should you be elated or concerned?

The first number refers to your systolic blood pressure. Systolic is your maximum pressure, taken right after your heart pumps. The second number refers to your diastolic blood pressure. Diastolic is the lowest pressure you have, measured when your heart is relaxed.

Miller says, "120/70 is an optimal blood pressure for adults. People are identified as hypertensive if their systolic number is above 140 and/or their diastolic number is greater than 90."

      Default H20

According to biologists, a function of the kidneys is to regulate blood pressure. That being said, IMO, some extra water may also help....

      Anyone agree with that?

You know its funny, they used to say that systolic was the important number, then they said well no its the diastolic number...

I believe now both numbers are considered important

so what do you think the "safe" maxes of each are?

Another above 140/90 and you are considered hypertensive, and that can lead to all sorts of problems. One of those being LVH, otherwise known as an enlarged heart muscle.

Trust me on that one !!

I believe that depends on your height. The taller you are, the higher your "normal" bp range is.
