      Anyone ever used this??

A "granola kid" hippie firend of mine put me on to it, and i'm skeptical of anything this kid says. I seperated my shoulder in november, and he and apparently alot of other people on the net swear by this stuff.

The problem to me is that it's sold as an industrial solvent used to clean parking lots, so i'm not exactly comfortable smearing it on my skin... especially considering the warning on the back of the bottle: "This product is intended for use as a solvent only. The choice of the process used in the various applications is the sole responsibility of the user. It is unlawful to represent in any way that this product is usefull or safe to use for medicinal purposes."

I did some checking around on my own, and it seems that the only catch i can find is that it has SUPER transdermal penetration qualities, so if you had, arsenic, for example on your hands and you rubbed the solvent on your shoulder, the poison would get into your bloodstream as quickly as the DMSO would.

My questions for the board are:

Has anyone used this? What were your results?

Anyone know of any other dangerous or undesireable side effects?
I run suicide drills over and over with the weight of the world on my shouders... I'm far from being god, but i work god damn hard.

DMSO is very common for transdermal delivery. The cautions associated with it are for extreme exposure over long periods of time. BDC used to use it in their transdermal but now use DMFA which also carries the same warnings but again is only dangerous if exposed to it for years and high doses. DMFA is a better penetration enhancer than DMSO and is less irritating to the skin.

      Good info, thanks bro!

I can say that so far, i'm a fan. I used it yesterday with no discernable diference... Today though, i made it through an entire back routine relatively pain free, something that has not happened since i hurt myself. Could be coincedence, or i am just healing... but i'm going to keep using it.

As far as skin irritation, is that indicative of a potentially dangerous problem (hypotoxicity, allergic reaction etc) or is it simply a side effect in and of itself? I had a burning sensation and the skin on my shoulder turned red, but no other probs other than the bad taste in my mouth... Anything to worry about (as far as skin irritation)? Thanks bro!

If you are prone to skin irritation from a transdermal than I would just focus on switching the application area everytime. A transdermal containing 1-test is usually more irritating than a 4-AD dermal. It's just like everything else. Everyone is different. I can apply my dermals to the same place for weeks without a problem. If you aren't already I would pick up some latex gloves to apply it with. This will help from you spreading it into your eyes or onto your face.

      good call on the gloves...

So even if it is my left shoulder that is irritated, i could rub it anywhere - calf, thigh, right shoulder whatever and still get the same results?

      Thanks

Chest, inner bis, inner forearms, tops of feet, traps. Your quads are a great place if you shave the area. Any place where the skin is thin and hair free is good.
