Tweetif you sit on a incline bench, it will help you from NOT doing what you said you do. When I do traps, I use the bench so that I don't lift my elbows. IMO it is improper to lift your elbows, try this and see.
TweetI flex my tris while I shrug this locks my arms straight. Going up on your toes is just helping the weight go up, put something, (like a 25lb plate under each heel), before your set.
