Tweetdude whenever i screwed up my father would strip my room, confine me to it and tell me if i can't sleep read a book. no radio, no tv, games nothing just a bookcase. god i hated it.
Tweethe got in trouble last week and blamed it on this new boy in his class. today he got in a shoving match with the same boy, his teacher called and wants to have a conference. she told me this is very unlike him and he is normally very respectful and good. i had him picking up sticks in the yard till dark and he is grounded for a week from video games TV and cant go to the gym daycare for a week as well. he cried a little and said "a week aint much"
i remember the first time i showed defiance to my dad. i got the red ass from it. so i doubled his grounding and took his radio out of his room. he really cried then. i feel bad but i guess its best. this is my first and only attempt at parenthood. i am scared i will make a mistake and my son will become a murderer or a canadian.

Tweetdude, its gotta be done
kids who dont get punished are much more likely to become criminals. You are the law now, but later the sherrif is the law and you dont want the sherrif to have to do your job. (hes not nice about it)
TweetAs long as he does start saying 'Ay' there's hope for him...

And if it comes down to one of these two choices I hope he picks the lesser of the two evils.
TweetI hate when my girlfriend grounds me. Then I lose my privileges to get some.
Tweetman, I'm not looking forward to punishing. good luck. What I hate about schools is most of them punish both kids that are involved in fighting.Originally posted by jipped genes

Tweetmy son will be 2 next month; I'm not looking forward to teen years. Then again, I'm laying the ground work early. He alreay knows about going to his room when he tries to pitch a fit. I know he's only 2, but I believe you have to train them early, other wise it's too late.

Tweetparent hood is kinda scary. your child is a product of the people raising him or her and what you do now will reflect on the rest of their life for better or worse my dad whupped my ass and grounded me and i am a good citizen its all i can do for my boy and hope he turns out well.
TweetDAMN WE REALLY DONT WANT HIM TURNING OUT TO BE CANADIAN!!
YOU WILL DO FINE JIPPED, REMEMBER WHAT YOUR PARENTS DID TO YOU AND ADD WHAT YOUVE LEARNED GROWING UP. YOU WILL MAKE THE RIGHT DECISIONS!
