Tweetwhose assets are you trying to check it can be very tricky to check this as people don't always have everything in the same name sometimes in spouses childrens name etc. Also they can have offshore acounts which you can't really access but just remember nearly everything is public record you just have to look hard enough to find it.
Tweetgot hurt at work few weeks ago... (dislocated & broken shoulder)
couple of days ago i got a letter from the workers comp telling me to choose one of the 2 options; either go with them, or go after the guy myself - apparently i can't do both (which is ridiculous, but that's another story)
now i'm trying to decide which way to go... i contacted a lawyer and he told me, in order to decide which way to go we have to check the guys assets... i mean if he's got none, then it's worthless going after him, and i should choose workers comp.
there is some 'assets finding agency' but they charge u $700 to do the check... 700!! i got no 700 to waste... i mean if it turns out he's got nothing, noone's going to give me those 700 back...
i got 2 weeks left to make a decision...
TweetDo you think the guy has money? Is it the owner of the bar you worked for or the guy that you fought?Originally posted by LOCO

Tweetit was the patron (not the owner)... beside his name and charge (assault causing bodily harm) i have no other info..... he looked like he was in his mid/high 20's
Tweeti called the cop that's in charge of the case, and he told me he can't give me any info but i can call the "freedoms of information" and they should be able to give me enough info...
TweetNot worth it....
the time, energies you will spend here... you will get nothing. Also, the judge will say it was the hazard of your profession.
Take it as a life experience and do something else. library job "wink" "wink"

Tweetthe lawyer said i have a strong case... winning shouldn't be a problem...
Tweetloco,
If you can find his address, and then drive by where he lives, and find out what he does for a living, and if you can parents.
Mid-20's unless he's a fast track super professional or has owned his own business which is successful assets that he has accumulated are probably limited. Now if parents or g-parents are rich, possible trust fund.
On the 700 hundred for assets, best guess, and don't know for sure, they somehow get tax returns, that has all the info that would be legally available.
good luck
