Im trying to pack on size and need to up my cals since I'm on cycle right now (500 sust/w) and read that a lot of you guys like to make your own weight gainer with stuff like honey, heavy cream, oats, whey. Anybody have a recipe for making a good one so I dont have to go drop 40 bucks on a tub of sugar with some whey thrown in and I can keep the money I save for more "productive purchases"?

I believe you'll have better luck here.

Read through this forum, there's probably a bunch of recipies already posted.
RIP BigJim33 & GearedUp: You are sorely missed my friends.

Hindsight is always 20/20. But looking back it's still a bit fuzzy.

If your looking to save some money, I recommend buying some soy protein isolate from your local hippie health food store which should be like two bucks a pound. Use that as your base and experiement with different shake recipies that go along these lines.

      500ml milk (whole or skim)
one portion of the fruit of your choice (bananna is great)
ice cream (you can also use frozen fruit)
two or three heaping tablespoons of soy protien
two or three raw egg whites

      blend and drink

Remember that all proteins are made of the same amino acids. It is only the ratio of one amino to another and the percent of the protein that you can absorb that is different. After that, the only difference between two scoops of soy and one scoop of another protein is price.
