      hey people,

I created this MRP recipe at home but have not actually made it yet. I just wanted to know whether it is a good mixture (apart from the taste, i'm assuming it won't be very nice). Alls values are an approximate.

      Ingredients:

      45g Oats (160 Kcal - 5g Protein, 27g Carb., 3.6g Fat)
      1 tuna can (130 Kcal - 30g Protein, 0g Carb., 0.77g Fat)
      1 medium sized egg ( 85 Kcal - 7g Protein, 0.2g Carb., 6g Fat)

      Instructions:

Seeing as I have not yet made it, there are no specific instructions. But I shall probably make it as follows:

      - mix 45g oats with 2-3 cups of water and heat for 3 minutes. Then wait for it to cool.
      - Mix 1 can of tuna (in liquidiser) with 150ml of water
      - Mix the oats, tuna and 1 boiled egg in a blender/liquidiser, add more water if required.

Can add a scoop of protein powder to improve and add taste and more calories.

      Total Protein: 42g
      Total Carb.: 27.2g
      Total Fat: 10.37g
      of which saturates: 2.5g

I came up with this recipe because I follow a low-glycemic diet and it is very hard to purchase low GI MRPs (apart from Micellean by VPX and Labrada breakfast MRP, both are expensive though).

Also, I am an ectomorph and need more calories than I burn.

Let me know whether the nutritional values of this drink are any good to qualify as an MRP and/or whether it is a good mixture.

      Thanks in advance.

Sounds nasty, but it will do the job I'm sure.

I weigh approx. 58kg, is this a good meal replacement? i.e. enough calories?
