post work out provides the best opportuity to absorb the most of what you are taking. Unless you are a really big (muscular) guy, 5 grams a day after your workout should be fine.

many people like to do a loading phase, which is fine. If you choose not to load you should be at a saturation point within 3 weeks.

Joe - educate yourself. Take a look at this link and order the book Creatine For Muscle And Strength

It's like $4 and give an understandable explaination on how to use it correctly and get your $'s worth. Most of what we were all sold on loading phases were really anicdotal at best. Creatine works, that's not arguable but the truth about what it does and doesn't do are skewed by myth.

At the least go do a search and read some more before just taking everyone's word for it - especially the manufactures.

yep, 5 grams after a workout
Do you know where one builds action, stamina and guts? In the gym under the iron day after day, forever without fail or excuses or grumbling, that’s where. It’s true. I read a study somewhere and that’s what it said, really.

There’d be fewer battles, less drugs and less crime and more happy moms and dads if we all lifted weights… let’s face it. In what recent medical journal was I reading that?

.....the basics need to be lifted high in this age of retarded new wave info. dave draper
