      In a word..no.

It's suspended in oil. And while oil can freeze, it needs to be alot colder than what water would freeze at.

PLUS! Did you know that water is one of the only liquids that expands when it turns solid? Most other liquids (including oils) actually shrink in size when they freeze.

Your test may fall out of solution tho.. If this happens.. throw the vial in the microwave for 30seconds and it should be fine.

I've heard freezing is a good way to kill bacteria that may be present, especially in veternian gear

Alot of bacteria will survive freezeing.

Filtering with a whatman filter, or baking at 250* for 20min are better ideas.
