i've noticed that with most supplements, the dosage on the label is a lot less than what would be most beneficial. is that true with multi-vitamins? i only take two a day, should i be taking more?

no, i only take the reccomended doses. too much of certain vitamins can be as bad as not enough. make sure you take a multi without iron in it. too much iron causes problems and it builds up in the body.

supplement the vitamin with extras like vitamin c, e, b12, panathonic acid, and so on. pick and choose the high doses you take so as not to overdo the others you dont need and the ones that are bad to high dose.

      Here is my opinion:

It depends heavily on your diet. Are you eating sufficient amount and variety of fruits and vegetables?

Additionally FDA values are based on a 2000 calorie diet, and are not athlete specific. If you are exercising heavily you may require more.

I know that this did not answer your question directly, but I don’t think that is possible without knowing many variables specific to you --- and having more knowledge than I

I am not sure you can make that deduction. Hopefully someone will chime in with more knowledge, but unfortunately I don't think we have a vitamin expert on this board
