Tweetdo you have ticks where you live. Those are sympthoms of lyme disease
TweetIt's been several months since I've visited the site, but I've always been able to find what I've needed on here. Here's the situation. My last cycle ended in April (it was a light deca/test cycle) and everything was fine. I kept on lifting, kept most of my gains, etc. A few months ago I had to stop lifting for various reasons and I'm back to "normal." Fine. The problem is, my joints have started to hurt REALLY badly. From my toes to my fingers, everyhing hurts. It's the worst in the mornings and my fingers/wrists/elbows/shoulders are the worst, in that order.
I went to the doctor last week and they took some blood and ran some tests. It's not arthritis, he said there is no inflamation, etc. What could it be? I'm 24 years old, if that helps. I haven't worked out in around seven weeks now, and frankly, I don't think I could hold a bar.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Oh, and the reason I put this in the AS forum is b/c I thought it may have something to do with the cycle, but if it did, why did it take so long to start manifesting itself?

Tweetsounds like some kinda medical condition...
Supps such as glucosamine, chondroitin, and MSM can help over time, but if the pain is as severe as you claim they'll probably be of little use. I'd go see another doc and get another opinion.
TweetI live in Nashville, TN... I hope it's not lyme disease. I'm supposed to go back to the doctor next week if I'm not feeling better (I don't see why I would improve). I think he's going to refer me to a specialist then.
One more thing, my strength went up a lot, so could it be that my joints weren't ready for it? The only problems with that theory are that 1) it took so long for the pain to start and 2) why would my toes hurt?
When the pain started, only my hands/wrists hurt (I thought it was carpal tunnel), then it started spreading.
Thanks for the input everyone.
TweetDeca certainly masks joint pain - one of the reasons it is my favorite. However, even with your weights increasing, there is no way you would end up getting irritations and inflamations in all your joints.
TweetThat story sounds very unlikely to be Lyme. I wonder if it is the result of some type of viral infection. If so, it should go away over time. Did you have any rash, fever. Are you taking any other meds?
TweetI looked up lyme on WebMD and don't have any other symptoms of it, so hopefully it isn't that. I didn't/don't have any rash, fever, etc., and I'm not taking any medication (some Aleve to deal with the pain).
On another note, I went to the gym for the first time in seven weeks today and although the first few sets hurt (a lot), it got better as I worked out. Could it be a general lack of activity that did it? I'll probably know the answer to that question tomorrow morning when I wake up.
