Lutropin-V is a highly purified luteinizing hormone extracted from carefully selected porcine pituitary glands. It is lyophilized to maintain potency under normal storage conditions. The extraction methods and quality control procedures ensure a highly purified preparation which maintains a consistently low FSH:LH ratio. Each lyophilized 5 mL vial contains the equivalent of 25 mg Armour standard of luteinizing hormone. Lutropin-V Diluent is a 5 mL vial of Sodium Chloride Injection U.S.P.
Reconstitute Lutropin-V with Lutropin-V Diluent and use immediately. Do not save partially used vials. Lutropin-V maybe given by intravenous or subcutaneous injection. Administer by intravenous injection for maximum effect.
Store Lutropin-V and Lutropin-V Diluent at room temperature. Lutropin-V and Lutropin-V Diluent contain no antimicrobial agents or preservatives and are packaged in single dose vials. In the event of an allergic reaction, administer epinephrine.
