At nearing 280 lbs my abs are thick enough to show at 15%. Now at 9% they're clear as hell.

To get thick abs, you need heavy weight, simple as that. Work them like any other part of the body, dont do 100's of reps of crunches and all that bullshit.

the reason i said that is because it seems that light guys get abs at around 7-8% and big boys can get it at, well aparently 17% but i think 12-15 is more typical.

i am at about 10% at 190 and mine are just starting to show.. another 2 months of this damn diet and i'll be N...
4months ago i was at 225 15% and had no abs at all...

work them hard and keep your diet in serious check, they'll come through, at about 7-8%....

I'm the same bro, i'm off-cycle now, but holding steady. 5'4", 185lbs, 10%. Got a serratus shot, upper two abs, and then nothing but pudge! I even have striated quads! Maybe when I push it up to 225 I'll start getting those bigger abs

the general rule of thumb is that guys can see their abs at lower than 10 % bodyfat, but the truth is that everyone's body is deffernt. it's all genetics some guys can see them at 12 % or even higher and some can't see them until lower than 7%. just keep dieting....they will eventually come in and ull be happy

damint, i am just going to inject them with synthol so i can see them at 17%...lol.... Ya, i like the advice of training them with heavy weight, i am going to do that cuz like u said big d, i am the same way.... cut up lega and upper body but flaby around the lower abs.... the shity part is that it is really loose fat.... it almost feels like water man, but oh well..... ya, i am going to get them though no matter how hard i need to train and diet... going to hawaii for a month and i want them to be popin out... thanks for the posts guys.... keep on training to be the best...

i agree with bdtr 100% i used ot do endless amonts of crunches, then one day i did like 30 with a 50lbs plate holding it out above my head on an incline bench, talk abut burn, but now, i certainly don'w have the lowest body fat, and i got abs showin lbetter than people with probably have my body fat. . .
