Like I tell every one. It's one or the other. Bulk or cut. He should be concentrating on diet right now. I don't know his training history so I won't suggest a cycle for him. Maybe get him on an ECA and concentrate on cutting some of the body fat.

to be most effective one should raise heart rate up to 150-160
and keep it there for 45 min.........
your friend should not be too winded at this point. and should be able to carry on a conversation with out being out of breath.
if he can do this 4-5 times a week........WITH HIS DIET IN CHECK!
he should get great results.

TweetCardio, Diet, and I personally don't care what others say, drugs DO help accelerate it if done right.
I went from 240Lbs @ ~24BF to 175lbs @12%BF in about 3.5 months. You do the math.... I gained quite a bit of muscle and lost a shit load of fat.
No rebound, it's been 1 year since I've taken anything OR worked out believe it or not... I fucked my C6-C7 up and had to stop, I tried but even moderate anythng tossed me back out. Now, properly healed I plan on starting again...
So what drugs did I use?
Prop, Paki Sust, Tren, and Winny.
ECA
30 - 45 minutes of cardio on the bike a day.
6 meals a day, carbs at or below 130ish. 3 Meals were shakes, FAT ones at that (72G Protien ea). Tuna, Chicken, and Superlean ground beef was the remaining diet. Natures own Honey Wheat bread ummmm.
So, where am I at now? I've lost some size and added a little fat. Give it a few weeks and it will be gone.
