TweetFIRST DONT START DECA. SECOND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING RIGHT NOW IS REHABING YOUR SHOULDER. MABEY A LOW DOSE OF TEST WEEKLY
TweetI will be having surgery 11/10/03 to remove bone spurs in my left shoulder. I am currently finishing up a cutting cycle and was wondering what to do during the 6 weeks I will not be able to lift weights? I have been using 750mg of Test Enanthate weekly and 70mg of Fina EOD for the last 10 weeks. I had considered continuing on through the 6-week rehab process on 500mg of Test only while doing as much cardio and ab work as possible to continue cutting the fat. Someone had suggested using 200mg of Deca, which some say is the minimum dosage for joint maintenance, to aid in my recovery. BUT I feel like that would just mask any problems I might have and make matters worse.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Farrar

TweetThanks Saturn...
As far as rehab, what was involved in your case?
All my doc has mentioned is that I will not be able to lift for 4-6 weeks. I mentioned my plans to a fellow bodybuilder with 15 years experience who is also an anesthesiologist and he just grimmaced. He said he was from the old school and if I could still sleep at night, do not have the surgery. But, I will be changing jobs from my desk job to an auto assembly line in 2-3 months and I thought it best to get this out of the way with my understanding being that it will only get worse over time. Also, what would be an estimate of when I could began lifting heavy again, 80# dumbbells for shoulder presses, for example?
Thanks Guys,
Farrar
