TweetThis probably deserves to go in the traing forum but it does`nt get much foot traffic. Are those $30-40 digital BF calipers even accurite enough to track ones progress?
Maybe even within 2or3 points?

TweetDon't waste your money. Find some one at the gym who has done alot of testing with regular cals. and use for tracking purpose. The only true way to measure body fat is with a water displacement test and most people don't have access. Don't get hung up on measureing your body fat, go by your weight and what you see in the mirror. Even someone who has alot of use with calipers can get different measurements each time(ie, three times in a row). If you really need to know I would just have it tested once every 4weeks.
TweetI was more interested in tracking body changes than absolute BF%. Will they do that?
Tweetif you use the same device everytime you measure it should be pretty accurate in allowing you to see "changes" but the accuracy of the measurement could be off by as much as 10 points or so....then again it could be right on...it is a risk you take.
TweetThanks sugar. I`ve always just used my pants as a guide. thought I might get a little more knowlegde with calipers. Sounds like I should keep on with the tried and true method.
TweetIts like sugar said it can very so much. stick wiht wath you see in the mirror and on the scale. Good luck.
