What do you guys see the future of home entertainment consoles going? Internet gaming? PC platforms and networking features?

What would you build differently?

Personally, I think it's time for wireless controllers....

TweetNintendo is makeing money on the Gamecube... not like Sony, but they are making money and I expect them to be in the business until that changes.

How about media? Cartridge is cool because loading times are super-fast, and you can have memory right on the game.

But DVD is also nice because then you can play audio CD's as well as DVD movies. Not to mention DVD burners are getting quite affordable.

Not that much to stay afloat....thats why gamecube's price dropped to $99.99 just recently

OK, so let's discuss why Nintendo has been doing so badly lately. Wasn't that long ago that nintendo basically owned the whole market share.

What do you think they've done wrong? I have a few ideas myself, but want to see what others think first..

Well what's crazy is how well the Gameboy Advance is still doing...Nintendo has really been progressing on the changes with this series.
For one, the gamecube for the longest didn't have the amount of games as Xbox, or PS2. Nintendo kind of stuck to only their usuals like, Mario, Metroid, etc as their most popular.
didn't you also notice a few months back they were tryin to give you Metroid for free with the purchase of a gamecube system....that promotion didn't do too well either!

Yeah, but by this time nintendo had already lost tonnes of ground to Sony.

Why do you think the Playstation outsold the N64 so badly? It's with this pairup that Nintendo lost all it's ground.

I hate the ps2 for some reason, i never get into the games or the controller.

The gamecube is probably my favorite, especially with the wireless controllers. the graphics are the best on this one i think, but it could just be because i got the hdtv adapter

the xbox has the best games i think, but i'd put it a close 2nd to the gamecube.



i think the xbox will dominate over time, just because of the games available and hardware, the gamecube just isn't generating enough profit for nintendo.

He can burn games for the x-box, or just FTTP them to the hardrive. Kinda cool getting all of your games for free!

Tweetyeah, i haven't gotten the hdtv adaptor for the xbox, but comparing halo and metroid prime now, metroid prime looks better, but it might change with teh adapter.

I'd be devoted to the gamecube if they'd get some decent games for it ... although, When the newest mario kart comes out next month, i'm going ot be all over that like white on rice ...
