TweetMutual Funds are a wise buy.....something you can draw $$ out of at anytime with out having to suffer from being taxed & such on those redemptions!
Hell even a good savings account with a good annual % rate would be ok too
Tweetif you came into some decent money , in the ballpark of 125K, how would you invest it.....
ok ill get the stupid jokes out of the way... so i already thought about buying 75,000 bottles of test... but in all seriousness, anyone know anything about investing and making that money worthwhile.
I dont expect to see it for a while, but i want to have an idea of what to do with it.

Tweetif you don't need it for a while put in something tax deffered. like an annuity. if you want to keep it liquid there are a million options depending on your risk tolerance.
TweetI could open that bikini car wash i always dreamed about.... 10% of the procedes go to breast cancer research.... to bring the ladies in.
Tweetreal estate is very big in canada right now. (and th us) mortage rates are at all time lows, and property taxes are dropping. You could turn that 125k into serious bucks!!!

Tweet#1 choice for me is real estate.
Even more important to me now, I wish I had another house to go live in.
If you do ever buy a house, make damn sure that it's in your name with a pre-nuptial agreement, no matter what she says she can do for you, LOL.
Good advice from a homeless (or about to be) old man.
Saturn, I only lost about 60% of my investments in the stock market. Still, I'd rather gamble 125K in Vegas next time around. More fun, more women, more drinking.
So be sure that you are makin the best of what that you have
the truth is all within yourself
Tweetlets assume im an idiot, which i more or less am,... give me an example of investing with real estate? buy a shitty place and fix it up..... invest in unbuilt property ?

TweetOne thing about buying houses here in Tx bro is the insurance industry is still unstable and homeowners are finding probs when tryin to obtain insurance on their home before they purchase!
It's not as easy as it used to be
Tweetyup....you buy for-closed property, bank seizures, or just old houses for sale. You hire a contractor and make a contract with him. So he does the repairs and you do the business side....you'll have to split the earnings (70-30) or whatever. When you go to sell you make double or more of what you put into it!! Its very easy.

TweetLand is almost a sure bet. I know they are building garden community after garden community around here. They are like housing projects for white people. The trailor park of the new mellineum. If you ha 40 acres of land you can put like 160 houses on it. No kidding, 4 house per acre. Im not sure if 125k will cut it but Ive seen a few people around here get rich of of these.

TweetReal estate is the way to go right now. You can put it into mutual funds but that takes a while and the market has to be in your favor. The way the markets look these days, sooner or later they will be going back up BIGTIME!! So you will have to really investigate what you want to do. That bikini car wash is actually an excellent idea. But only a summer thing.
Tweetyou guys have got it bad, and to be honest bro when it gets stable its prob not gonna be the way insureds want it to be. you guys owe it all to black mold and attorneysOriginally posted by bjtheman
