      what do u guys think of the golf? other than having ridiculously expensive parts, any cons? i can get one cheap (98) and the insurance wouldn't be too much either... i'm working only part time so i can't afford nothing too fancy now...

      I had a Jetta and it was expensive as hell to fix. I remember a hose cost $300 + labor. I'd reconsider VWs if I were you. JMHO.

      VW, has definitely made a strong comeback in last few years. They make a nice car! Repair costs is the only drawback!

      I think they are good cars..they get great gas milage. But yeah, repair costs are big.. especially when your buying a used car.

      Speaking of cars, I went car shopping today and looked at a few cars within my price range. I found 3 that I liked. One was a 98 Jetta, the other 2 were a 99 Grand Am and a 00 Taurus
