When I load my syringe, rather than draw the liquid thru the needle, I remove the pusher from the syringe, remove the stopper from the bottle and pour it into the syringe, then put he pusher back in and hold up the syringe to get the bubbles out. Seems easier than drawing the heavy liquid thru the needle. What are the drawbacks here?

When you put the plunger back in you tend to lose some juice or when pouring it in the syringe and taking the stopper out of the vial isn't a good idea.

Why would you want to do it that way?

Well I use a 23 guage needle and it seems like REAL slow going when I pull it thru. Guess I need to be more patient

get a 20 or 21 gauge needle to draw it up, then take that needle off the syringe and replace it with a 23 or 25 or whatever you want to inject it.

Both good advice, unfortunatly all I have is 23 guage disposables. Guess patience is all I've got to work with right now.

That one did cross my mind, and I don't know if it helps but I swab the rubber on the plunger before sliding it back in. Sounds like a crazy method I know, but I get it done pretty quick

Exactly. Airborn particles can get in. Hair..skin flakes...dust...dirt....a big old horse fly. Just be patience.

If you don't like drawing with the 23g pins order some larger diameter (20-22g) pins from getpinz.com you will have them within a couple of days and they are cheap. Don't risk infection by taking the plunger or stopper out.
