Shock-rocker Marilyn Manson has won the emotional distress lawsuit brought against him by a security guard, who was seeking $75,000 in damages.

David Diaz from Anoka County, Minnesota, had alleged Manson grabbed his head, held it against his hips and "proceeded to gyrate his hips" at an October 2000 gig at the Historic Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis - causing him to feel humiliated and degraded, and subsequently suffer "ridicule and shame."

However, after three days of deliberations, the jury at St. Paul federal court agreed with Manson that the incident was "neither offensive nor harmful," and that the contact between him and the guard was part of his elaborate stage show.

Manson said after the legal triumph, "The path to truth is obscured by frivolous lawsuits, but it's lit by the objectivity of a jury that sees the difference between entertainment and assault. I feel completely vindicated and I'd like to thank the jury and judge for their thoughtful verdict."

he a has found a way to make tons of $$$$......by being different......
if you have ever had a chance to listen to any serious news interviews of him he really does have interesting viewpoints...
