hey guys, im 6' 1" 238 lbs and 27% body fat according to my scale. how accurate are these and does water consumtion before measuring affect the numbers? what do you use for measuring?

is it an electric scale? like a tanita? yes - those are worthless. your level of hydration will greatly affect the measurement. get some calipers and use the JP 7 site method. it's a little more acurate...The burden of originality is one that most people don't want to accept. They'd rather sit in front of the TV and let that tell them what they are suppose to like, what they're suppose to buy, and what they're suppose to laugh at. You have Beavis and Butthead telling you what music you're allowed to like and not like, and you've got sitcoms that have canned laughter that lets you know when to laugh if you're too stupid to know when the joke is. People are too lazy and too stupid to think for themselves because America has raised them that way.

I don't like the bioelectrical impedence scales at all. I've seen some very inaccurate results with them. I've only used the handheld one, so basically it doesn't really account for any muscle in your legs... it just shoots through one arm and back out the other. I like using the 7 point method with the calipers
