TweetYep, you heard right. Hurricane Claudette has hit the Texas Gulf Coast. It's pouring bad in Houston. But hell, it's nothing like the pounding Galveston and the Bolivar Peninsula are getting.

TweetI'm in NW Houston and we are barely getting a drizzle for the most part, just very windy.
This morning at about 6:00 the clouds looked wicked and I was wondering what the hell was going on, but then realized the hurricane was supposed to hit today.

TweetMy grandparents live down in Freeport close to the water. From the reports that area has been hit fairly hard. Need to call and see how they are doing.
I can just visualize my grandfather *****ing, "Damn ***** storm aint going to mess my home up, been here for 50 years...." lol
TweetI wonder if that old restaurant that someone just bought and re-built is going to hold up. It's the one right across the street from the Hotel Galvez...Originally posted by Keiser

The burden of originality is one that most people don't want to accept. They'd rather sit in front of the TV and let that tell them what they are suppose to like, what they're suppose to buy, and what they're suppose to laugh at. You have Beavis and Butthead telling you what music you're allowed to like and not like, and you've got sitcoms that have canned laughter that lets you know when to laugh if you're too stupid to know when the joke is. People are too lazy and too stupid to think for themselves because America has raised them that way.

TweetIt should hold up unless the water takes it down, I think it can withstand the wind....Originally posted by goliath.jr

TweetLast year when lily hit us It was crazy, but hey, so am I. I live about 10 miles from the gulf and chose not to leave even though I was in an evacuation zone. I did get some cool footage though. A trailor flipped upside down and nearly every telephone post down my road fell down. It tore up a lot of buildings but luckily no damage to my home, except of course for the above ground pool that was in my back yard, I found it about a block away.
