TweetWay too many carbs in that diet. If you are looking to cut big time, you need to get those out of there.
TweetI need a diet to help me cut some pounds and body fat, I had good losses in weight in my first two weeks of diet ,but the last two weeks I only lost like 3 puounds.
I am 6'1", 228lbs, 19.9% body fat
If you need any more info let me know.
I train 4 days a week:
chest/shoulders
back/calves
arms
legs
and usually do abs twice a week
I do cardio 5 times a week which varies in types:
HIIT
low intensity
I am thinking of doing all HIIT seven times per week to help cut body fat. What do you guys think?
I eat:
8AM
4 egg whits/2 whole eggs
2 packets of apple cinnamon oatmeal
12AM after workout
10 oz chicken breast or 2 cans of tuna
brown rice or a big salad
banana or apple
5PM-6PM
10-12 oz. steak, chicken or turkey
whole wheat pasta
mixed veges or broccoli or a salad with low fat dressing
I usually drink 1 gallon of water a day also.
I was thinking of taking L-carnitine in the morning with a cup of coffee before my HIIT cardio 7 times a week. Good idea or bad idea?
Also should I get some type of shake? I have hardly any money to spend on anything but food cause I am college paying for everything myself, but I could probably afford some shakes.
I was doing some research and saw tons of good posts about dieting from PROLANGTUM. If you could hook me up with a good program to follow I will follow it to a "T". I would really appreciate any help you can give me.
Thanks

TweetI will cut some carbs out, thanks for replying tinfish9. Any of you guys have any ideas for me to do. I would appreciate it.
TweetSpread the same amount of food over six meals rather than 3, this will up your metabolism.
Your third meal of the day, has over 1/2 your total calories, at a time in the day when you need energy the least.
L-Carnitine is good, maybe take 1/2 before bed, 1000 mg or so, and 1000 mg before cardio.
That apple cinamon oatmeal, don't know for sure, probably loaded with sugar, which in general IMHO is pure poison, but that's me, simple sugars only help to store fat and mess with insulin levels.
Overall you're doing a good job and going in right direction.
Good Luck
TweetThe 2 packets of oatmeal probably have 36G of sugar in them combined..... I have the same problem, because i can not stand regular oatmeal....
drop the simple carbs and use more veggies as carb sources
TweetThanks for the help. I appreciate it. I got some L-Carnitine today and will take 1000mgs before be and cardio, but will that keep me up at and not let me sleep?
I am also going to cut out some more carbs in the last two meals and seperate my 3 meals into 6.
I have 4 more packets of the SUGAR LOADED oatmeal and then i am going to get some regualr with no sugar. Is is ok to put peanut butter in the regualr oatmeal?
Thanks Again!!!
Tweetbigboy9,
You should notice if the L-carnintine effects your sleep pretty quickly. If it does, cut out the nightime dose, and do it at lunch.
Peanut butter is fine and actually a great Bbuilding food.
In general always stick to non-processed foods. If man made it, ie anything pre-packaged and loaded with chemicals, it is generally not a healthy nutritional item.
Also, always helpful to have one of those little calorie counting nutrition books, that gives you information on breakdown of carlories, protiens, carbs, fats, etc. Oh yeah, also important to always read the labels.
Good Luck
TweetI wouldnt do cardio but 3-4 times a week, especially if you're incorporating HIIT. Take the guy's advice above, it was well laid out for you..... you could add in some green tea or green tea extract to raise your BMR, thus burning more fat, and its all natural.
TweetHey thanks for all the help especially trip. I took the L-carnitine last night and i slept fine then took again in morning before running. I am gonna check out that green tea extract at GNC today, should I just follow instructions on the back of bottle, Yellow Jacket?
Also trip or Yellow Jacket did you guys check the pic I posted of the 25mg winny tabs in the picture forum. If you didn't and find the time could you tell me if these are real or not?
Thanks guys, this forum f' in rocks.
TweetYes. Follow the instructions on the green tea, I think you'll like it...
Ill check out your winny pic...
Tweetbigboy,
No help on the winny.
If budget is tight, you can also get green tea at the store, would not have an extra ingredient or two like a supp, yet should work for your purposes.
good luck & your welcome for the help
Tweetyou could also pick up an ECA stack such as hydroxycut... or an NYC off the AF board..... I also threw CLA into my cutting diet.
Tweetgreen tea is good shit. I drink it EDOriginally posted by YellowJacket

i put 1 scoop of bannana or vanilla protein with a tablespoon of natty peanut butter in my oatmeal i love it. great snack before working out too.
Tweetyeah, PP in the oatmeal with some cinnamon is the bomb... also, if your budget is tight, i would get some quality green tea (a good rule of thumb is buy the ones that are all in chinese ) and drink it religiously... and about 1/2-1 hour before cardio. should up the BMR. they're are also some thermo waters that contain the active thermogenic ingredient (EGCG) in green tea in them... waters like Pinnacle's Aqualean although i tend to think that the amounts are kinda bogus and unregulated. better just stick with the real thing.... IMO.
