Tweetare you eating before workout??
TweetI train 3x a week, for one hour between 10:00-11:30am.
I drink my postworkout shake after training, the shake contains 80 grams carbs and 60 grams protein with some Twinlab vitamin powder.
Let's say I drink my shake at 11:00. At 11:30-12:00 I start feeling sluggish and slightly light-headed; I reckon this is due to a drop in blood sugar... But I fight it thru...
Then I try to eat 1.5 hours after the shake (at 12:30), but I just can't down enough food. I feel nauseous even if it's kebab or lasagne day at my workplace...
What should I do? Should I split the postworkout shake into two parts to minimize the blood sugar dip, taking the 1st part right after training and the other 30-60 mins after the 1st shake, and if I do so, when should I eat?
I am worried about this because I want to get enough nutrients into my body in the two-three hour time period after training when my body needs it the most.
TweetSplit your shake up. Sip half before and during the workout, drink the other half post workout.
I eat at least 6 times a day to build my body
I pray at least 6 times a day to build my soul
TweetTry some ginger root also.
