Need help on this one bros, don't wanna let this be a discouragement for future bicep injections!
TweetInjected both bicep muscles last Monday... used 5/8" 25G needle.....almost a week later a big red patch/scar of blood under the skin is showing on the peaks of the bicep muscles. Looks like a big bloody red bruise and it looks terrible. Could this be a result of not using a long enough needle and not reaching deep into the muscle??? Has this ever happened to you, explain your experiences please.

Tweetits a hematoma its when you shoot through a vein or artery and blood leaks out under the skin discoloring it for a while in 2-3 days it will turn greenish grey and look worse than now. but its nothing to worry about. as long as there is no hard lump your A- OK! i get em all the time when the doc takes blood
Tweetjipped genes.... thanks for the quick response and good news! I didn't think it was anything too serious, but wasn't sure. So does this mean I still hit the muscle? Should I use a 1" needle for these spot injections next time?
I look forward to the greenish grey discoloring, as if this doesn't looked fucked up enough...lol No lump has formed, fortunately! The left bi isn't so bad, barely noticeable. the righ bi is fucking ugly for the time being.
deepinu... Cmon man I know you an help out alittle better than that! lmao
TweetI use .5 in no probs. You hit muscle, you just went THROUGH a vein on the way in. So when you pulled out, that vein slowly leaked blood out under your skin. Like jipped said, it's a sub-dermal hematoma... mass of blood under your skin, basically it's a big bruise. It'll turn nasty greenish-bluish like a normal bruise would then fade away with time. No harm done. Next time just try not to go through a vein when you hit bis.
TweetYea man...its no big deal i got them when i did front delt shots...It looked like someone slammed me in the shoulders w/ a sledgehammer other than being the ugliest fuckin bruises ever...theywere harmless
TweetGood stuff! lol I shined light to see all the visible veins in my bi's before doing the injections, guess I hit some hidden ones.
Once again, thanks for the quick and very helpful responces guys.
