      Acl and miniscus surgery
Whats up boys?...ive had a pretty insane few years...mostly good stuff though!...engagement, wedding, trip, home rennovation etc...
Well i tore my acl at my bachelor party and finally got around to surgery...i blew out my knee 3 times before i realized there was something wrong...lol
Had complete ACL tear and multiple complex tears of the miniscus...
Anyone else ever have this surgery?
Both surgeons i saw said they couldnt fix my miniscus and recommended cadaver graft for acl reconstruction..
Thankfully my insurance is good so i went to mass general where a lot of pro athletes go..
MG backed up other opinions and i proceeded..its going to be bit before im lunging and running 50ks but should get there within 12-16 months!
Good news was the surgeon said he repaired my miniscus way more than he thought he could so that is good..
Anyone with experience with this injury input is appreciated!
One random entry hole mid thigh...not sure why? First consult is on Tuesday

      Thanks guns....

no set plan on taking anything to enhance recovery as of now. i did ask the doc about alternative options for recovery and he did not want to engage..lol
He said nothing is going to make that graft fuse faster...
I am thinking anything i can take that helps with collagen, tendons..etc..I have to research what to do...getting back on the orange triad with be a start...plus be sure to crush my PT!

if nothing else man, look at the bpc 157. it will put you weeks to months ahead of recovery. i have not seen anyone that had good bpc not speed things up. the gh is brutal expensive but it also does the same. you could also toss in some low low dose of eq and or npp as well. all things that come to mind at healing tendons and such

Great to see you and sound like you have had a lot going on?! Seems docs cant be sure until they get in there and take a look. Good that he was ale to repair it and hope you have a great recovery.

Haha, oh man..thats what happens when your in your late 30's and go out and party like your 20..
All of us dont go out much..one friend hadnt gone out in 2 years because hes a family man now and in the coast guard..
He is one of those people who if they touch hard alcohol a switch gets flipped..
He didnt know who we were he was so messed up..he headed butted one of my friends, tried to choke my cousin..i tried to subdue him by throwing him around, no striking as we are all close.. he was also in my wedding with all the other people he was attacking..lol
I stepped off a curb going for the take down and my knee popped..lol
Made for a good story but not sure if the injury was worth it....
Is what it is..poor dude was mortified..and has come by my house to cut up trees 2x post op..lol

I need to get on some supps soon for sure..definitely getting some collagen in the diet but need to take it further....As far as extras that will have to be down the road a bit..
