TweetWell I always found that when I cut and Cut out most of my carbs that I need those extra fats to provide energy, and what better fats to have than good old omega 3's.
they also may aid in actual fat loss but Im not sure about that.

TweetIts like replacing your 'bad' fat with good fat. Your body must have fat, for organ protection, warmth, etc. So its hesistant to give up fat when stores are low (hence cutting). Throw in some flax oil (good, essential fat) and it doops your body into burning adipose. Excellent for cutting.
TweetYou don't need Flaxseed oil to lose bodyfat or get into optimal contest condition. Chicken, Turkey, brown rice and water..... NOTHING else for 12 weeks will get anyone in shape. If one can't get ripped beyond belief with this then they're NOT are not doing it 100%! This Flax thing is out of hand, do people REALLY know what they're talking about OR just listening to others? Gamma linolenic acid (GLA) is the most important fatty acid in reference to good hormone (eicosanoid) production and the use of fatty acids for energy. Borage oil has the best concentration. If you really want TRUE answers about this topic read Barry Sears book the zone and you'll learn lots.

Well if you want to be a hardass about it, then you dont need anything to cut. You dont need any oil, any supplements, any thermogenics, just food. Good luck competing and doing well in a contest.
TweetI responded DIRECTLY to the question, " why does one NEED flax oil to get cut?" My reply is that you do not NEED it to get cut beyond belief!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Believe me, I know ALL about the Pro's and Con's of all fatty acids. When it's time for you to get anywhere near my level of competition give me an e mail and I'll give you some tips, lol.Originally posted by YellowJacket

Brilliant first post, you will be an asset here. Very original also, a winner is you.
TweetI don't like flax oil, and I get enough omega III's from all the tuna and salmon. I think you do need a little fat when cutting, not much though. I use canola or safflower oil on my veggies.
There is no substitute for experience......
TweetChamp, I think I recognize your style from another name on another board. There is a much higher concentration of advanced athlete here, and you aren't going to be well recieved with an arrogant attitude. Try to make some friends here. You might learn somethingOriginally posted by TheChamp
