TweetI don't want anyone to feel sorry for me I just need understanding. I lost my Snowflake last month. She was 100% my dog. She would listen to nobody else when I was around.
She was in the car during my 1st back surgery, Cindy went to get her and bring her to my recovery room. She would not budge and had to be carried into the hospital.
She loved toys mostly the ones that squeaked and every new one she got it was like Christmas she got so excited.
She got an enlarged heart and pneumonia and we took her to an emergency vet in Louisville. Meds helped her and life returned to normal. During my 2nd back surgery Snow thought she had lost me because I was not around. In rehab she did come see me but was very sick. I got out of rehab and things got back to a little normal but I could tell this fight Snow went through was to much for her to recover from. She developed seizures and some painful. The seizures were every few days at the last it was a few per day.
I know I did the right thing in letting her go. She was not ready to leave me and I certainly was not ready to let her go. I hate this feeling of emptiness. AGGGGGGGG
She has been gone for 1 1/2 months but the emotion is still raw

Tweetyeah man, I get it. we lost our lab Gus to cancer and I cried like a ***** when they put him down even though I knew it was the right thing to do. I tear up years later thinking of it.
it will fade my friend until you think about a great memory that is clear in your head, it makes you smile, and the sting of the loss is blunted by time
