Any of you ever have your kids in a youth group of some sort? The only one's I can find are all faith based and I am looking for one that isn't connected solely on religion. Any ideas would be appreciated

    thanks

I would never put my child into a youth group that was not Christian based. Sports would be my only secular alternative.

i hear ya baby. the prob with faith based orgs is the hard proselytization.

my son was in a school group back in highschool. they would help each other try to figure out what to take in college from a peer's perspective rather than a counselor or other adult. it really helped him but I think it was just his school.

check with the ISD in your area for clubs or groups that might suit.

        Re: youth groups

I have never understood the wisdom of having children learning to be come an adult by hanging out with other children. Trixie and myself knew that our job was to grow strong informed adults from the children God blessed us with. Our boys were in training to become men and our daughter was trained to become a woman so we had them influenced by responsible and respected adults. Youth groups are BS.
