Just curious, how many of you guys take plain baby aspirin daily? Do you feel that it's really worth it?

Do you only use it on cycle or year round? At what dose do you take?

I'm just wondering If I should be on a daily aspirin regimen. I'm only 30 years old, but my bp is pretty high and i'm sure my rbc's are up there too, although I haven't had them checked recently.

I recently tried to donate double red blood cells but it got all messed up. They only made it half way through the procedure and had to stop due to the needle infiltrating or something. Not really sure what that means. The last said I may have squeezed the ball too hard, but my vein sort of like bubbled up as a result.

My hemoglobin was 15.5 which is high but within range.

I guess in my head for some reason I feel like taking aspirin is just another medicine i'm putting in my body and I don't like that. I guess i'm just not sure whether I can benefit from it. I don't really know how safe it is to take year round.

Wanted to get your guys opinions. Is this something ya'll feel is important to take?

I did some research on the daily aspirin thing. I found much contradiction to the popular science of it and possible damage from it. I used to take daily aspirin. After learning more about it, I stopped. I dont think it is helpful and more harmful long term. Thats my opinion
So I would say, research it and make your own educated decision

And at 30? Thats too young to start any lifetime medication. Unless youre only going to take it for a little while
Youre right, its just putting another drug in your body you dont need.
Medical doctors and big pharma seem to be in love with this daily aspirin movement. That alone should make us leary

Thank you Dzone, I really appreciate your reply. Yes, I used to take daily aspirin for a short period of time. Regardless of the large amount of people on forums like this that seem to take aspirin daily, I had read a few things that I did not like about it. Since then I've kind of been nervous to take it consistently, but at the same time I'm also worried that i'm potentially missing out on benefits of it. I try to donate blood every 16 weeks which is the maximum for double red blood cells.. but still I worry about my blood getting too thick.

I've taken the baby aspirin (81mg) off and on over the years. Depending on what I'm doing, my bp can get a bit high. I've researched it a little over the years and see the good and bad sides. I guess it comes down to which would be worse for your body if you're suffering from really high bp. They both have their negatives, but super high bp for prolonged periods of time can reak havoc on your body.

Curious to hear other's opinions as well. I'm actually taking a baby aspirin a day right now.

I do have really high bp which is why im considering it. Although, the information ive read says that aspirin actually does nothing for reducing blood pressure. Which is one of the main reasons im unsure of whether i want to use it or not.

if your bp is high due to elevated rbc count it can help bring it down a bit. you wont see a huge drop but yes it will help because it will thin the blood out. i also have and still use 81mg baby asprin when i am running higher end harsher compounds. i know that it destroys your guts and other health issues but it helps for me to keep my bp in check along side of other things that i use. i keep a staple of things in the lineup year round and mine stays good for the majority of the year. i like to have hawthorne berry in there at all times and i get the juice when it is in season. beet extract and consuming beets are also something i keep in as often as possible as well. they will knock it down very nicely. celery extract is another. molecular nutrition makes a product called bp stable that i will use when the above things arent in season or are sold out. cardio has also helped me a boat load as i have gotten older

Thanks guns, yah I've recently decided to start stepping the cardio up significantly. That has been something I've been very bad about for a while. My cardio was almost non existant for the last year so I have a feeling it might help quite a bit. I might consider taking a baby aspirin a day for a month and see track my bp and see if it seems to make any difference. If after a month I don't see any type of change whatsoever than i'll most likely drop it. I've never tried to track the two before though to see if it made any long term change.

trek, i think if you have high blood pressure and high RBC count it may be a good idea. I take a baby asprin cut in half to mitigate any negative sides. Also taking fish and/or krill oil with it helps thin blood drastically reducing cardiac workload and chances of heart attack. I would take a whole baby asprin ed if I had HBP and RBC count especially if your LDL was high and your LDL/HDL ratio was poor.

yes over a long period of time it can cause macular degeneration in some folk and it is really best for older people but if you are at a higher risk of heart attack it will reduce the chances considerably

Is there a best time to take it? For instance with a meal first thing in morning or before bed or does it not really matter?
