TweetNice story! Yes, worry is a was te of good energy...you can add guilt to that too. Another waste of energy that robs us of true happiness
TweetI went to my Papaw birthday party in Muhlenberg County KY. He lived with a cousin of mine (2nd I think). I always liked Papaw I would draw water for him or bring in coal to burn when he lived in ETown.
Back to my story Papaw wanted some ice cream so I got him some, he quickly gobbled it down. Soon after he was holding his belly beneath his bib overalls. I continued talking to him and Edith Mae came by. She said "Pap what is the matter" He told her "Nothing" she was relentless in her pestering. He finally told her he ate ice cream. "You know you are lactose intolerant" Why didn't you tell me yor belly hurt. He looked at her and said" Why, my belly would still hurt but then you would be worried about it.
What I got from him was Being worried never solved anything. He was very wise.
He has long since went to heaven

TweetGreat story my friend. I'm sorry for your loss. The loss of grand parents is really hard
TweetWorry is the worst. It causes more stress and those two combined will completely tear your body down. One of the best books I've ever read on worrying was written by Dale Carnegie called how to stop worrying and start living. It's very old and a lot of the references are out-of-date, but the message of the book is still fantastic.
Tweeti used to sneak and buy my papaw smokes growing up haha. only thing i think mine ever worried about was momaw busting him doing stuff that he wasnt supposed to be doing. great story

TweetSometimes u can't help but worry tho !!! I mean things are gonna happen and life will continue moving forward with or without worry . It's hard not to worry !!!
I wish I could wake up everyday and not have to think about some stupid shit that's hanging out in my brain !!!
But I've learned that too much worry won't get me anywhere . So I just try to take it one day at a time and make the most of what I'm given !!!
TweetWorry / anxiety is crippling. Life is best when you don't have time to think.
