TweetThis is awesome. Wish I actually knew of such places. Most would throw people out. This made my heart warm.

PAIN DON'T HURT
TweetThat is a wonderful idea. Reminds me of the pizza place, I believe in NYC. You buy 2 slices, take one, and the other is saved. There are post-it notes all over the walls, and homeless people can grab a post-it and redeem for a slice.

TweetThats very cool. Havent heard of such a thing. Starbucks should do this but they probably dont want homeless people hanging out in their swanky digs
TweetI did this thing at McDonald's one day where I paid for the person behind me and for my own too...totally random and anonymous because I drove off before them!
And any time I get a chance to donate or help someone I always try to....i don't even want the credit, I just want to see other people happy...
TweetStories like this bring me joy. With the way the world is now days, it's a blessing to see true acts of kindness.
TweetWarmed my heart this morning
TweetI used to work with the CGBG in my city to fix up houses of "low income" people. but when i got there and saw capable adults sitting on their ass with a damn new truck in the driveway i said "F' it"
i know there are people who need help, truly need help but i am so jaded now. i work in building inspections, i inspect subsidized section 8 rental homes. i do not see people who need help but people who are lazy and feel entitled. i do hundreds a year and unfortunately very few seem to be living in any hardship. in fact the opposite is true, i have not seen anyone without cars, mobile phones, big screen TVs ect.
my grandpa died when my mom was 14. instead of going on welfare, my grandma worked her ass off and saved everywhere she could. they had nothing.
i guess the definition of "needy" is different today.
sorry I do not need to hijack the thread with my anecdotal experience.
I have a giving heart but a skeptical head.
TweetI hear you jipped, but downtown in the city here, there are so many homeless people and many elderly. it is sad and a little of what I have might make someone's day so that's enough for me. When I was down there with my daughter, we saw a young 'homeless' man and she said "Mom that guy has J's on , he doesn't look homeless to me'. I don't give to everyone I pass but I do give and so does fuzo.
the same thing happened with my grandma when she was 12. her mother died and she had to quit school and take care of the family. things were different back then.

TweetThere a couple places here that give away food they would throw out but not many.
