      Default mass shootings

If the statistics of the mass killers in schools and the church and movie houses. The shooters have been male and less than 30 years old.. The White House reaction has been to confiscate all guns. Given the statistics I think limiting people under 30 access to guns and a gun safety course is mandatory and during this safety course there mental health is evaluated.
      My thoughts please chime in.

One thing that nobody wants to talk about is the connection between mass killers and prescription anti depressant medication. Almost every one of them has been on psychotropic medication. The United States is the most drugged country on earth and its making some people suicidal and homicidal.

I fear the white house regulations more than mass shooting. On the other hand has prohibition not taught our leaders anything.. you cant regulate human nature or desire.

People have access to guns whether they legally have them or not. I am betting many shootings are done by people that do not even have a license . I honestly don't know how much "control" they can really have.

I second that on the medications. Many people do need them but docs over prescribe them.

Im sure these drugs do help people who need them but youre always going to have a small percentage who are going to get suicidal and homicidal when they take them. I heard antidepressants actually cause 4,000 suicides a year. Its not politically correct to ever blame bigpharma for anything

Look at what the guy was taking who shoot up the college in oregon...The real problem is the abuse of these drugs. Ive heard of people taking 10 prozacs and going berzerk. The media doesnt want to talk about this but its a very serious problem

prohibition works........look at how well it worked with alcohol. nobody drank anymore and the law abiding distillers went out of business.

there was a small problem that a small insignificant criminal element started "bootlegging" but it was a victim-less crime, nobody was ever sprayed down with a thompson sub machinegun luckily

It is like a pandoras box, it has been opened. we have guns here. the only people that will turn in their guns are lawful people. leaving only .........CRIMINALS>

as we know it is illegal to kill people. yet people do it. it is like taking away cars because of drunk drivers. there are more guns than people in the USA. why aren't we all dead? the only people this would effect are the folk that have never and will never harm a soul with their guns.

what about the thousands of people who have defended themselves from imminent injury or death with a lawfully owned gun? do they not have rights to defend themselves? I am damn sorry so many liberals have decided that guns are bad, they are basing this on the media and emotion without logic. ignorant people, blame food for fat, cars for accidents, scissors for bad haircuts. hell, hammers kill more people than assault rifles + regular rifles + shotguns.

Was reading an areticle this morning about psychiatrists have become nothing but drug dispensers for the drug companies. Tools for big pharma to rake in billions. About how th e psychiatrists wouldnt have any appointments unless they give out prescriptions because thats the main reason people go.
Not knocking the psychiatric field but I have yet to meet a psychiatrist who wasnt nuts

In addition to my above post I want to mention a funny line from the Archie Bunker show years ago. Archie's wife said "Archie, did you know that xxx number of people are killed every year by handguns", to which Archie replied "well would it make you feel any better if they was pushed out of windows."

      That's a classic!

I disagree. But if you are going to stop people under 30 from owning guns then you should have to be 30 to be a cop or any other job that carries gun. Nobody in uniform or political office should have any more rights then the citizens. That goes for military too, if you have to be 30 to be trusted with a firearm then nobody under 30 should be trusted with a firearm.

I don't like this way of governing with more and more regulations and laws and punishing the majority for the behavior of the minority. All we hear about is that guns kill people, but nobody ever talks about guns saving people's lives. If you ban guns then criminals know people most likely don't have guns, and if you ban guns to those under 30 then criminals know they can just target those people under 30.

the left and die hard liberals never go off of statistics and that includes the piece of shit in charge of this country. i always go back to the simple basic examples that are right in front of your face ie..... dc cali chicago, baltimore and nyc, hell even toss in jersey up in there as well. all these cities have stringent restrictions on weapons yet the crime rates are off the charts. take a look at texas, nevada and new mexico now and do a comparrison. who has a higher crime rate? in texas even granny is packing and those that wish to do harm or thrive on the weak damn sure think twice about it there because the deterent is already in place. granny will shoot you in the face for her purse no questions asked. now another simple search: france the uk austilla and lots of south american countries have gun bans and even more stringent gun laws than we do. is their gun crime rate or gun murder rate lower? nope it absolutely isnt only difference is you have to wait on the cops and hope you dont get offed before they get there. hell in france and some parts of the uk the cops dont even carry. yep makes a ton of sense and would make me feel extra secure.

we have a medical politically corrupt and stupidity problem in our country and it's governing. medications, poor mental health care and people not paying attention to what their friends and family are doing or indicating they may be getting ready to do is the problem here. the left wants to hold gun manufactures or gun sellers accountable for mass shooters and gun violence. none of them are screaming about holding shrinks, the manufactures of the medications these guys are taking nor the families of these people accountable.

do we need more better more accountable background checks? yes that would help people feel better but at the end of the day it wont make a bit of difference in reality. 99% of the time the people doing these things arent law abiding citizens at all and they will do these thing regardless of what laws are in place
