TweetBeen having some back probs and unable to train. doc wants to try this first. needles stuck in one's spine sounds scary. i just want relief.
here is a pic of my back. you can see the disc that is bad. Have been talking with another MD who thinks this is not my prob but my SI joint because that is where the pain is. If this does not relieve me I will switch docs as my doc overlooked my real problem.

Tweetthat was a piece of cake. the doc said.............."here we go, numbing meds, this will hurt" it stung a bit but not bad at all. next thing I know he says all done 4-5 minutes later.
hell i thought he was still doing the numbing med shots.
so far no relief but i think it is not the disc but the SI joint giving me pain. will go back in for an SI shot if this one does not help.
TweetI think the numbing shot is worse than the injection
Veritas Vos Liberabit
TweetWell the first injection in for the disc did nothing for me. My pain was from my SI joint. got another shot last tuesday and I am damn near pain free. It is wonderful! Will go back to doc now that we know where the pain is from and find out if ablation or just keep doing shots is the best method to help me.
Tweetthat's great news jipped that you are almost pain free. the only thing that has always scared me about stuff like that is: is it healing the area or just masking the pain? that would be my biggest concern
