I busted my ass watching my diet and doing cardio (probably too much) and had my bodyfat checked 8 weeks apart.

In 8 weeks I managed to drop 30 pounds. However I lost 20 pounds muscle and 10 pounds fat. Also i also dropped 17 pounds of water too. I only managed to actually drop 1% bodyfat and it remains quite high still.

      Success or failure?

If your purpose was to drop BF% than it is a failure IMO... it all depents what you feel about it though
EVERYTHING I SAY IS ONLY AN OPINION.

Hate to say it but sounds like failure. I too dropped from 190 to 165, but I only lost a few lbs of muscle, I went from 13%bf to 7% now. Did you take anything to help with muscle preservation? Sounds like you just overdid the diet and cardio to me!

wow 189 to 160!!! yeah I would say failure bro, you don't wanna lose that mauch wait, u'll dissinagrate here pretty soon if u keep doing that. If I was u, I would of went to 220 and than dropped some wait to get BF down. But thats crazy, you lost way to much muscle wait, and 1% BF? damm thats not good. I busted my ass to put on 30lbs, and as I did that I went up 1% in BF. All that muscle that u worked hard for is all gone, man that would make me PISSED!!! Good job though, hard work but I think u over did it.

When I said I lost 20 pounds muscle I also dropped 17 pounds of water. Im not exactly sure the corralation between water and muscle though but I dont think I lost as much muscle.

The test is one were they check your how much water you have and then determine fat and muscle.

The main thing I did was probably under eat or did not adjust my calories. I ate roughly around 1900 calories but should have eat more since i was on t3.

It was a good learning experince and have a few more weeks left on my cycle to hopefully make some good of the couple weeks I have on.

With T3 in there, your cals should have been around 50% higher in my opinion. I'm cutting for competition now, doing no cardio at all. I'm running T3 @ 75mcg/day and my protein is over 300g's day, cals are around 2700/day. And I only weigh 167lbs and 7%bf right now too. You just dropped down way too low on cals and protein, and overdid cardio. Next time, eat more, it'll be easy

i just don't see how that's possible!? i mean really, were you eating ANY protien at all?
The burden of originality is one that most people don't want to accept. They'd rather sit in front of the TV and let that tell them what they are suppose to like, what they're suppose to buy, and what they're suppose to laugh at. You have Beavis and Butthead telling you what music you're allowed to like and not like, and you've got sitcoms that have canned laughter that lets you know when to laugh if you're too stupid to know when the joke is. People are too lazy and too stupid to think for themselves because America has raised them that way.
